PARTIAL LIST
Basically, I came ready to play, and discovered that I felt like doing one of those concept shows. So I threw on the live stuff that I had on vinyl, and provided some enjoyable live material for anyone who was listening.
The Men Without Hats tracks were from a BBC Rock Hour lp that was recorded for radio broadcast on October 16, 1983. The lp was backed with a live set from A Flock of Seagulls, which is also quite good. The performance by Ivan and company is good, but not the best live performance I have heard. Still, any recorded live material is a find worth admiring.
The same can be said for these gems by the Bolshoi. Found on the special 12"s realeased for the singles "Books on the Bonfire" and "Sunday Morning," these tracks were recorded at the Town and Country Club in the UK. These performances are really great, and Trevor and the band are at their best as the cover Michael Jackson, of all people, as well as a new track, "Funny Farm." Great, great, stuff.
I lost the playlist for the rest, so I can't remember. Oh, what age does to you...
